RuVi

Translator for Google Meet

Call in Google Meet right from your browser and speak your language — the other person hears the translation in your voice.

Google Meet runs in the browser, and RuVi doesn't need extensions either: the browser takes audio from the default microphone, and that's RuVi.

Why it's convenient

  • Google Meet stays the same

No plugins, no call settings: RuVi works like a regular microphone.

  • Nothing needed on their side

The other person doesn't need to install anything or sign up — they just hear the translation.

  • Your voice, not a robot

The translation sounds like you, with your timbre and intonation.

How it works

  1. Install RuVi and record a sample of your voice — it takes a couple of minutes.

  2. Choose a language pair. RuVi becomes your default microphone.

  3. Call in Google Meet as usual. If a specific microphone is selected in Google Meet's audio settings, switch it to the default microphone.

  4. The other person hears the translation in your voice, and you see their speech as subtitles in your language.
